Carbon Steel Straight Seam Pipe

The material used for carbon steel straight seam steel pipe is carbon steel, which refers to an iron-carbon alloy with a carbon content of less than 2.11%. Carbon steel generally contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur, and phosphorus in addition to carbon.

Generally, the higher the carbon content in carbon steel, the greater the hardness and the higher the strength, but the lower the plasticity.

Carbon steel straight seam steel pipes can be divided into high frequency straight seam steel pipes and submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipes according to the production process. Submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipes are divided into UOE, RBE, JCOE steel pipes, etc. according to their different forming methods.

Carbon steel straight seam steel pipe main implementation standards

GB/T3091-1993 (galvanized welded steel pipe for low-pressure fluid transmission)

GB/T3092-1993 (galvanized welded steel pipe for low-pressure fluid transmission)

GB/T14291-1992 (welded steel pipe for mine fluid conveyance)

GB/T14980-1994 (Large-diameter electric-welded steel pipes for low-pressure fluid transportation)

GB/T9711-1997[Petroleum and natural gas industry transmission steel pipes, including GB/T9771.1 (representing grade A steel) and GB/T9711.2 (representing grade B steel)]

Carbon steel straight seam steel pipes are mainly used in water supply projects, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, and urban construction. Used for liquid transportation: water supply and drainage. For gas transportation: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. For structural purposes: as piling pipes, as bridges; pipes for wharves, roads, building structures, etc.
